In Iiris Salt Rooms, the micro-particles of salt (size between 2— 5 pm) are produced in a special salt grinder the salt aerosol generators liris 35M, Iris 36, liris 3K, Iris-136M & Iiris-138.
The particles are impacted with high kinetic energy, which further intensifies the healing process of salt therapy.
The "Life-Time" of these activated micro-particles is very short. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that the salt aerosol is produced by the generator and delivered to the patient in a non-stop regime.
This is guaranteed by all liris-type halogenerators which constantly blow and scatter the salt aerosol into the air for the patients to breathe it in.
Conditions in liris salt rooms:
• Temperature from 20-26C
• Humidity from 40-50%
• Aseptic environment
• High concentration of negative ions • Relaxing atmosphere
The salt aerosol concentration in Iiris salt rooms can he adjusted between 0,5 - 17 mg/m3. Within that range, the curative effects are the highest.
It is possible to choose between 6 different modes of operation. This is important as different diseases and ages require different salt aerosol concentrations:
a) C= 1,5 - 2,5 mg/m3: the salt is the weakest. Good for infants and very sensitive patients;
h) C= 3 - 5 mg/m3: stronger salt. Good for sensitive patients who have already been to the salt room;
c) C= 6 - 8 mg/m3: medium salt. Good for regular asthmatics etc who have allergies and who just start the salt therapy sessions;
d) C= 6 - 9 mfg/m3: strong salt. Good for regular people who like salt rooms and who want to find relief to colds, cough, psoriasis etc. It is the most common mode;
e) C= 8 - 12 mg/m3: the strongest salt. Good for younger people with generally good health BUT who have allergies;
f) C=12- 17 mg/m3: the strongest salt aerosol concentration. This mode is in use in maximum size salt rooms, 20-30m2.
